Book Condition: 8pp, attractive programme with coloured image of the Wetterhorn on the front cover, and with the Cullum Geographical Medal on the rear cover, VG condition. It consists - Message from His Royal Highness The Prince Philip Duke of Edinburgh, Officers of the Club and Committee Members 1858, Officers of the Club and Committee members 1957, Menu, Toast List, Some Notable First Ascents by Members of The Alpine Club 1857-1957 and Some Important Mountaineering Expeditions by Members of The Alpine Club 1957-1957, also included is a large fold out Table Plan. The dinner was held at the Dorchester Hotel, London, and Sir John Hunt was the President at the time. The Cullum Geographical Medal that appears on the rear cover is one of the oldest awards of the American Geographical Society. This was awarded to the British Everest Expedition in 1954, and fittingly the rear cover is signed by Norgay Tenzing. A lovely collectable item.
